The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's bout.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
